alright. here’re some info on blogathon 2006. it’s basically an annual event which calls for bloggers all ’round the world to stay up late & blog for their charity chosen. this event’s on for 24 hours in which at least a post must be made in every 30 minutes. sponsors may pledge the amount to give to the charity chosen & at the end of the day [ the completion of the event ], the money would move directed to the charity organization.
how the money would move ya may ask.
- well, the thing is the blogger that ya choose to sponsor need to complete the race. if the blogger fails to post in every 30 minutes or is found cheatin etc, he/she would be xcluded from the circle. hence the organization would not receive any funds raised even if the total pledges were say $500. if the blogger that ya sponsor completes the event, an automated mail would be sent by www.blogathon.org to the sponsor to let known the total amount pledged and one can choose to pay by cheque, postal orders or even hand it by hand to the charity organization.
